We welcomed
the Year of the Rabbit with prayers at the Centre on the evening of Sunday, 22nd
January. After bhajans, Bro. Sanjay of SSBC Sg Nibong gave a interesting talk on how the Chinese New Year celebrations first started in Puttaparthi in 1998. Ang pows and oranges were distributed to all
present by Sis. Siew Kim, our SCA Co-ordinator after Arathi. This was followed by a vegetarian
“pot luck” contributed by members. It
was an enjoyable evening for all and we humbly pray for Swami’s blessings for a happy,
healthy and safe new year.
