| Lotus candles with cards bearing the names of departed loved ones |
The annual memorial prayers were held on Sunday, 21st September which was the last day of the 7th month of the Chinese lunar calendar. Lotus candles with cards bearing the names of the dearly departed were placed on the altar for blessings together with offerings of fruit and kueh. Prayers began with Rudram chanting followed by bhajans, Buddhist and Tibetan mantras. About 20 devotees attended the prayers.
