Members of NED and Gelugor Centre teamed up to provide breakfast and lunch for the residents of The Penang Cheshire Home on Saturday, 25th August. The Home was set up in 1978 by Toh Puan Datuk Hajjah Sardiah, Consort of the then Governor of Penang, Tun Hj. Sardon Jubir, together with a group of volunteers to house the physically handicapped. Over the years, the Home became synonymous with the rehabilitation of the disabled. We hope to spend more time at the Home in the near future.
