We held our first SSET class on the evening of Saturday, 28th July at the Youth Park. The class was conducted by our Education Co-ordinator, Bro. K. Balachandran. Five toddlers accompanied by their parents attended. The theme was "Nature Nurtures Human Values". The Learning Outcomes are to enable kids to love plants through play - (a) Nature heals (b) Enhances Multiple Intelligences: Bodily Kinesthetics etc. (c) Inculcate human values.
Activites included (a) Head/Cognitive: Om (b) Hands/Fine Motor Skills: Paint squirting (c) Heart/Affective Skills: Thanking plants (d) Musical Intelligence: Ganesha Sharanam.
We are also in the midst of organising free English tuition classes for children (Std.1-3) at the Centre.
