Vesak Day was celebrated in NED on 5 May 2012, at 10.00 am, with Bhajans and Buddhist chants. After arathi, we proceeded with the 'Bathing Buddha' ceremony which marks the auspiciousness of Buddha's birth and the universal message of cleansing one's 'inner dirt' of greed, anger and ignorance.
