A free health and medical camp was held in Kampung Dara Estate, Sungai Air Tawar, Kedah (near Baling) on 12 September 2009. Services provided included overall medical checkup such as blood pressure check, blood glucose monitoring, BMI, eye test, pap smear test, urine test and breast examination. Medical consultation was provided by doctors and nurses. There was also a briefing on general health care. Medication was distributed where necessary. Prior to this date, on 5 September 2009, there was a premedical screening and ECG tests done for the residents there.
Our Sai members together with some of the ladies in the estate also prepared a delicious vegetarian lunch which was served to all on location.
