A general health check for 10 adults and 40 children including deworming procedure was held at the Rumah Kebajikan Cahaya, Batu Maung this morning, beginning 9.30am. Four doctors and one nurse were at hand to assist with the program. Medication and vitamins were prescribed where necessary and two children were referred for further treatment at the hospital. After the medical screening was over, there was a short bhajan in the Home's prayer hall, followed by serving of vegetarian lunch and ice-cream for dessert.
