NED held its annual memorial prayers (Zhong Yuan Jie) for departed souls on the evening of Sunday, 23rd August. Lotus lamps with cards bearing the names of members' departed loved ones were placed on the altar together with offerings of fruit and kuih for Swami's blessings. The evening was charged with soulful Shiva bhajans and mantras and concluded with prasadam for all.
