Free sewing machines (15 units) were distributed to single mothers last May in Penang, Bagan Serai and Taiping to help them earn a living. Four of the women are from the Women’s Welfare Council, Penang. A few machines were distributed to a school in an estate to teach the students and the ladies staying at the estate some sewing skills.
