We were happy to serve 71 families from the Orang Asli settlement in Grik, Perak in a joint seva with three Buddhist groups, namely Malaysian Buddhist Association, Happy Dana and Hui Lin Yuen on Saturday, 16th July. Six volunteers from NED helped to transport the dry rations consisting of rice, coffee (both powder and 2-in-1 packs), sugar crackers, sugar and tea powder. The team left Penang around mid-day and returned in the late evening. We were glad to be able to bring joy to these simple folk and hope we may be able to serve them again in the near future.
