In conjunction with Hari Kebangsaan, we treated our "adopted" family in Kulim with lunch of fried rice, muffins and grapes on Sunday, 30th August. These 13 lovable children (age 2-14) are taken care of by their grandparents who earn a living by selling items for recycling. They are very poor and sometimes the children have to go without food. We were also happy to celebrate together with them the birthdays of two children on this day, much to their joy and delight.
In addition, we also donated 60 face shields made by our members to a clinic in Kulim.
On 31st August, we distributed adult diapers and some medical supplies donated by a well wisher to the Evershine Home, Penang. We have been serving this Home since last year by organizing meals for the residents and celebrating festive occasions such as Deepavali and Christmas with them.
