SSET (Class 6)

The activity for Class 6 on Thursday, 25th October was "Flower Play".  Here the children were given the opportunity to express themselves through art.  They were given leaves and flowers to arrange and come up with a design using their own creativity.

Weekly Seva (No. 16)

Once again, we served our weekly dinner to the old folks of Gan En Zhi Jia on Saturday, 27th October.
Apart from dinner, our Service Wing also manages to supply breakfast, lunch and tea on an ad hoc basis.

We are happy to note that Aunty Jeewa's health has improved and she is now able to feed herself. The number of old people in the Home has increased to 24, with the admission of one elderly uncle who is bedridden.

SSET (Class 5)

Class 5 was held on Saturday, 13th October near the Botanical Gardens.  The children were allowed to enjoy the green environment before they began the evening's tactile sensory activity.  Parents were briefed on this activity and its importance in child development.  This knowledge is also useful for those doing seva with geriatrics and elderly persons.

The old folks enjoying their beehoon soup for dinner

This week, we sponsored both lunch and dinner for the inmates of Gan En Zhi Jia on Saturday, 6th October.
We were very sad to learn that Aunty Rose (85) recently suffered a fall and is unable to get up. Picture shows one of our volunteers feeding her.  Our prayers are with her for a speedy recovery.

Get well soon, Aunty Rose!

SSET (Class 4)

SSET Class 4 was held on Saturday, 29th September at a field near the Botanical Gardens.  The activity was "Tree Sculpturing".  This is an aspect of environmental education introduced by our Education Co-ordinator, Bro. Balachandran and is a natural way to nurture children's development and learning.
