Wesak Day this year fell on Saturday, 21st May.  To celebrate the occasion, we held prayers at the Centre which was followed by the bathing of the Lord Buddha.  More than fifty devotees attended.

Haircutting Service

A small group of volunteers from the Centre provide haircutting and shaving services for the aged at the Penang Home of the Infirm and Aged, Jalan Masjid Negeri on the first Sunday of each month.  An average of 30-40 residents of the Home are attended to on each visit. The Home which was established in 1963, houses the destitute and aged who require care, treatment and nursing.
