Double Celebration

It was a double celebration at NED Centre on the evening of Sunday, 27th September 2015 as devotees gathered for the holy festival of Shirdi Sai Jayanti and the Mooncake Festival. Prayers began at 7.00 p.m. with the chanting of the Narayana Upanishad followed by bhajans and Tibetan Buddhist mantras.  The evening concluded with refreshments of vegetarian mooncakes and other snacks prepared by devotees.

SSE Guru Training Programme

The SSE Guru Training Programme was held on Saturday, 19th September 2015 at Gelugor Centre and was conducted by a team from the Sathya Sai Baba Central Council of Malaysia.  Participants were divided into two groups of trained and untrained gurus.  The programme for beginners covered the five main techniques of teaching with active participation from devotees who attended. Four members from NED Centre attended the programme which ended at about 4.30 p.m.

Ganesh Chaturthi

The holy festival of Ganesh Chaturthi fell this year on Thursday, 17th September.  

 Our evening prayers included the chanting of the Ganapati Atharva Sirsam followed by bhajans and mantras.  Refreshments were served on the conclusion of prayers.

Sri Krishna Janmashtami

We celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami on the evening of Saturday, 5th September 2015.  Prayers included vedam chanting, the Lord Krishna mantra, Sai mantras and bhajans.

Gayathri Chanting

In conjunction with Global Gayathri Day, we held a special session for chanting the Gayathri mantra 108 times on the evening of Sunday, 30th August 2015.  This was followed by the singing of bhajans.
